A Quick Look at Apple Watch OS2

September 25 2015

apple event 02Apple released Watch OS2 on Monday. The second version of the gadget's operating system was originally scheduled to come out on Sept. 16, the same day as iOS9, but was delayed due to a software bug.

OS2 builds on the functionality of the smart watch and adds upgrades like new watch faces and tetherless wi-fi so that wearers no longer have to be connected to their iPhone to access the internet.

As with the new iPhone 6s, Apple Watch's upgrade offers users productivity features that are handy for busy agents:

  • Time Travel - Are your days a jumble of appointments and showings? Time Travel makes it easy to view upcoming meetings. Simply turn the digital crown to preview what's coming up on your schedule in the minutes and hours head. You can flip through your calendar or advance the crown to see things like temperature at a certain time or upcoming flights.
  • Transit - If you serve an urban area or are in a large metropolitan area for trade shows or other events, Transit for Apple Maps makes it simple to locate subways, trains, and more right from your wrist.
  • iTranslate - This is a boon for agents who work with a lot of international clients or serve a bilingual area. Just speak into the Watch's mic to read and hear translations in 90 languages.
