4 Steps for Creating an Email Drip Campaign that Will Make It Rain

July 09 2018

email hand goMany real estate customer relationship management (CRM) tools give agents a standard email drip campaign. These campaigns often lack a message that offers any value to the consumer. They also lack a message that resonates with them personally.

If you want to create an email drip campaign that offers your potential clients value and demonstrates your knowledge as an industry expert, consider creating your own. Here are four tips to creating an email drip campaign that will fill your potential clients' cup full of information.

1. Have a plan.

Have a plan for a consistent message throughout your campaign. Spend time thinking about your target market, identifying their pain points and how you can provide a solution to their problem.

2. Ask permission.

Ask permission before adding a new or potential client to your email campaign. You risk losing the trust of a potential client when you add them to your email campaign without their permission. Your message will resonate with those who see the value you have to offer.

3. Provide something of value.

Don't send a simple email message each day. Make sure your message provides value to your prospects. Show your clients you are a knowledgeable expert by providing deliverables that build trust and show your knowledge. You can do this in a variety of ways by including tip sheets and video tutorials to address common problems faced by your target audience.

4. Find a platform that works.

You don't need to invest a lot of money in a sophisticated email automation program to get started with a successful email drip campaign. If your office provides a CRM that has an email drip campaign template, start simple and modify those messages to fit your campaign needs. Once you have mastered the basics, you can invest in an email automation program that will allow you to segment your emails based on criteria like how likely they are to move, or whether they are a buyer or seller.

An email campaign can help you build trust and foster long term relationships with your client database. Crafting a consistent message will ensure your message provides value and resonates with your potential clients.
