We encountered a lot of great real estate tech products in 2012. Here, we take a look at the 10 most popular product reviews of the year.

1. Cartavi and DocuSign Integration

Like most of the industry, we were intrigued by the news of Cartavi's integration with DocuSign. We'd had the opportunity for a brief demo of the Cartavi document management system at industry events and were certainly impressed – but the addition of DocuSign electronic signatures takes this already - impressive platform to a whole new level.

2. Top Producer CRM™

Those of you who have been around awhile probably remember that Top Producer used to be software that you installed on your computer. Now, because Top Producer is cloud-based, you can leverage the platform from any touch screen mobile device, tablet or desktop computer. We took a look at the product from the perspectives of both a computer user and a mobile user.

3. ePropertySites Property Marketing Tools

ePropertySites describes their goal in their mission statement: "Perfecting the art of property marketing online and on site." For this reason, we've focused this review on several of their tools focused on marketing individual properties. However, their robust array of products also helps real estate professionals with personal marketing and much more.

4. TRIpress by Tribus

We hear many agents express frustration when they're searching for the right website solution. They want to it be easy-to-use, with all the advanced features they need to capture leads and sell more properties. For an agent or brokerage that wants to publish engaging information to consumers, WordPress is awesome. For a real estate website, WordPress publishing platform combined with a WordPress-friendly property search solution is ideal. With this in mind, we were especially intrigued by the TRIpress WordPress Real Estate Framework from Tribus.

5. Cloud CMA

If you're in the market for a CMA product, you've likely heard of Cloud CMA. It's gaining buzz as a fast, easy, and aesthetically pleasing tool for sharing reports with buyers and sellers. Unlike many CMA products that require a manual transfer of information from your MLS to your CMA tool, Cloud CMA is already connected to your MLS. Cloud CMA leverages MLS data, as well as data from other sources, to create informative reports that agents can use to educate and better serve their clients.

6. ListHub for Brokers

ListHub is one of the leading listing syndication innovators in the real estate space today. Their focus is on offering advanced tracking and reporting tools to brokers, empowering them to make better syndication choices and improve outcomes for themselves and their sellers.

7. eSignDashboard for iPad

At the end of 2011, electronic signature and document management provider GoPaperless Solutions launched their eSignDashboard app for the iPad. The company has recently released some updates to the app and we decided it was about time to create a quick product review.

8. Happy Grasshopper

Happy Grasshopper is an email marketing solution that allows real estate agents to maintain relationships with their professional contacts. What's unique about Happy Grasshopper is the way they accomplish this. They write fun, lighthearted messages (rather than typical salesy or stats-driven marketing messages) and automate the process of sending them out to your contact list.

9. ValueAppeal™ Pro

ValueAppeal™ PRO helps real estate agents grow their business and retain existing clients with value-added services that ensure their clients are not overpaying property taxes. The ValueAppeal™ PRO solution enables agents to achieve these goals in several ways – by providing lead lists, by encouraging customer loyalty with an additional complimentary service, or by generating revenue (some agents choose to charge for the service).

10. Instanet Solutions Suite

RE Technology usually tries to keep product reviews simple, focusing only on a single product from a single company at one time. However, we are deviating from our usual routine for this review with very good reason: the suite of products from Instanet Solutions integrate so seamlessly that to try to cover each separately would be doing a disservice to readers and to the product.
