Krisstina Wise: The Birth of a Brand

May 13 2014

If you work in real estate and have any interest in technology, you've heard of Krisstina Wise. She's the powerhouse behind GoodLife Realty, a brokerage that has redefined tech savvy and company culture. She's also a frequent keynote speaker at major industry events and conventions. But you probably haven't seen much of Krisstina in the last year . . . because she almost died.

Yes, the athletic, vibrant, multi-tasking Krisstina finally hit the wall and became very ill. What could have been the end of her career (and possibly her life) actually became the start of something wonderful. She was forced into self-reflection and discovered that, despite all her success, there was something missing. She wasn't pursuing her true passion: helping other women learn to love money and use money to live a great life. Krisstina regained her health and reimagined her life, with a new goal firmly intact.

Falling for Money

One of the keys to success is finding your gift, the unique value you bring to others, and honoring it. Krisstina recognized that her passion extended beyond real estate; she could also use her life experience and unique perspective to help other professional women live healthy, balanced, financial free good lives. You see, Krisstina wasn't always the powerful woman we know today. She grew up poor and worked hard to create a nest egg, only to lose it all.

"At the root of all my problems was an unhealthy relationship with money," Krisstina explains. "I had to embrace my financial ambition, create healthy habits, and just generally get smart about the green stuff if I wanted to create a real and lasting wealth." And so she began a course of study that involved intensive reading and training under leading financial gurus.

"I spent so much time and money learning how to achieve financial freedom," Krisstina says, "But what I found was that each book or seminar offered only a single piece of the puzzle. I realized that it was up to me to put all of it together, inform it with my life experience, and create my own system for building wealth." Which is just what she did.

When Krisstina stepped back and looked at what she had created, she was struck by the thought that other people might benefit from it, too. "After all," she says, "If it worked for me, it could work for anyone." So she codified her system in a book, Falling for Money, and began building a whole new brand around teaching people (especially women) how to have a lifetime love affair with money.

I got a sneak peek at Falling for Money. It's less philosophy and more strategy than most financial tomes. The chapters include enough prose to provide background and explanation, but the really good stuff comes at the end of each chapter in the form of worksheets, exercises, and other practical tools for implementing the strategies Krisstina recommends. The book is enriched by Krisstina's unique voice, a voice that helps the reader see money as fun, sexy, and approachable.

Falling for Money is available today on Amazon.com. If you have a chance to read it, please let us know what you think!

krisstina wise book2On April 28th, Krisstina launched her new website: www.Krisstina.com. On the site, she talks about her new book and the other services she offers for achieving financial freedom. This includes Real Talk, a coaching club for entrepreneurial women who want to improve their financial situation and further their careers (without sacrificing health or family).

"When I talk about my new brand, money is really at the heart of it," Krisstina explains. "That's because money makes everything else possible. It's the key to your freedom, so you are able to pursue the other things in life that matter. But Real Talk is also about honoring professional women and sharing strategies for 'having it all' – financial stability, a career you love, a thriving body, a peaceful mind, and a happy family."

Krisstina is also planning to revive Coffee with Krisstina. This Web series was popular in the past, but has been on hold for some time. The reincarnated Coffee with Krisstina will feature interviews with prominent businesswomen. A little bird tells us that Randi Zuckerberg is slated to be one of the first guests! We'll keep you posted as dates and guests become concrete.

Just the Beginning . . .

"I'm excited to see where this all goes," Krisstina says. "We're still at the very beginning of this journey, but I'm looking forward to sharing my message of empowerment with as many women (and men) as possible. At the end of the day, I just want to support anyone with a desire to build wealth, excel professionally, and live a good life. If I can do that, I'm really living my dream."

And don't worry – Krisstina is still CEO of GoodLife Companies and her feet remain firmly planted in the real estate industry. "I'm expanding my mission, not replacing it," she explains. "GoodLife Realty still exists to offer a five-star experience to our home buyer and sellers. And, the Paperless Agent will continue to change the lives of real estate agents across the country, supporting their efforts to become digital and paperless."
