ShowingTime Rolling Out Instant Messaging to 700,000 Subscribing Agents in 109 MLSs, Announces 10k Product Integration Plans

Chicago, IL – November 10, 2015ShowingTime, the real estate industry's leading showing management technology provider, announced today that the ShowingTime messaging feature, which enables agents to chat with each other about showings in real time, is being rolled out as a free enhancement to its 109 MLS accounts representing more than 700,000 subscribing members.

The enhancement will give showing and listing agents tools to communicate instantly from their mobile devices while in the field, or from their desktop computers. Other tools will include courtesy notifications to sellers when agents are running late for appointments or when showings are complete. With 1.3 million listings subscribed to its scheduling services, ShowingTime messaging will have an immediate impact on hundreds of thousands of agents and sellers.

"Our objective is to equip agents with the latest technology to add measurable efficiencies to the showing process," said ShowingTime President Michael Lane. "With our broad base of customers already using our mobile app, we felt this was an enhancement that would be well received and used immediately," he added.

ShowingTime also added five more MLS-wide accounts in the past 60 days, adding another 61,000 subscribing agents to its customer base. Another 47,000 agents who already use ShowingTime for the MLS will be receiving major new enhancements purchased by their MLS.

ShowingTime for the MLS uses patented technology to streamline the appointment scheduling process, resulting in quicker showing confirmations and less phone tag. Listing agents can post showing instructions and enter available hours on an interactive calendar to indicate when a listing can be shown. When a showing agent submits a request, notifications are sent instantly and often answered within minutes. All the real estate industry's primary MLS vendors have incorporated ShowingTime into their MLS systems for clients.

With its recent acquisition of 10K Research, ShowingTime also announced plans to integrate showing data into the first 10K reports over the next 90 days. A group of early adopters will receive reports with integrated showing data in the upcoming weeks.

"The reports we're rolling out will combine showing activity with sales and inventory data that will display never-seen-before statistical information that will help real estate professionals gain a much better understanding of the local market," Lane said. "Our intention is to give customers an even greater ability to offer exceptional service and market knowledge to their clients."
