Realtor® Broker Summit Returns to Offer Business Insights and Strategies

March 16 2016

WASHINGTON (March 10, 2016) — From industry panel sessions and keynotes to a comprehensive economic and market update, attendees at this year's 2016 Realtor® Broker Summit will be treated to even more perspectives and insights about critical business strategies and tools for successfully running their brokerages.

All-around Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton will also speak to attending real estate brokers from across the country as the event's motivational speaker. Retton catapulted to international fame by winning the all-around gold medal in women's gymnastics at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, becoming the first American woman ever to win a gold medal in gymnastics. During her motivational speech, which will open the summit's second day of programming, Retton will discuss how sacrifice, hard work and perseverance are all necessary ingredients for success.

"The Realtor® Broker Summit is designed to help brokers hone the specific management and entrepreneurial skills they need to make their businesses thrive," said National Association of Realtors® President Tom Salomone, broker-owner of Real Estate II Inc. in Coral Springs, Florida. "We are excited to provide attendees with inspiration from keynote speakers, new insights into the brokerage industry from presenters and incredible networking opportunities."

This year's summit will take place in Denver on June 9-10. With an overarching focus on management, the event will feature sessions on culture, recruiting strategies and game-changing technology for the real estate industry. The summit will also include a Power Broker Roundtable panel presented by RIS Media, a discussion of key economic trends from NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun and an update from NAR General Counsel Katherine Johnson on independent contractor classification and how it impacts brokerages of all sizes.

Registration for the Broker Summit is now open, and additional details will be posted in the coming weeks at www.realtor.org/brokersummit.

The National Association of Realtors®, "The Voice for Real Estate," is America's largest trade association, representing more than 1.1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
