A fresh alternative for real estate board support

City of Calgary, Oct. 13, 2016 – Building on a well-earned reputation for innovation and leadership, CREB® proudly announces the formation of REB Resources Ltd. – a for profit subsidiary that will provide a la carte services for Canadian real estate boards.

Wholly owned by CREB®, the for-profit subsidiary will enable the organization to export support services in technology, professional development and administration on a contract basis to other real estate boards and associations.

"We are well-regarded for our willingness to share what we know and do with other real estate boards," said CREB® chief executive officer and REB Resources Ltd. president Alan Tennant. "But more and more, we see a mutually beneficial opportunity that extends beyond knowledge-sharing into service delivery. REB Resources will allow other boards to leverage our in-house expertise like never before."

With CREB®'s board acting as directors for REB Resources Ltd., CREB® president Cliff Stevenson says the move ushers in a new era of collaboration and consolidation for the industry and CREB® members.

"We believe REB Resources Ltd. will ultimately redefine board services for the industry and our members," said Stevenson. "Real estate services powered by CREB® can now be contracted around Alberta and beyond."

CREB®'s board of directors approved the formation of REB Resources Ltd. on Sept. 7.
