Coldwell Banker Advantage Is First in Carolinas to Debut Google Home and Alexa Home Buying and Selling Features

December 14 2018

"Alexa: Open Triangle Real Estate" or "Hey Google: Talk to Triangle Real Estate" Activate Home Search Process

Raleigh, N.C. – (Dec. 10, 2018) – Coldwell Banker Advantage, one of the largest Coldwell Banker franchises in the nation, is the first real estate firm in the Carolinas to bring substantial real estate search to Alexa and Google Home. Through simple commands, the popular personal assistants will ask a variety of questions to walk the user through searching for a home or learning what their home might be worth.

Coldwell Banker Advantage is capitalizing on the growing use of personal assistants, with Adobe projecting 48% of American consumers will have one by the end of the 2018 holiday season.

The consumer connects to their free voice activated search by saying, "Alexa, open Triangle Real Estate" or "Hey Google, talk to Triangle Real Estate." The consumer will then have a conversation as the personal assistant guides them through important questions, such as where they want to live, budget and the features they want in their next home. The program – known as a "skill" on Alexa and "action" on Google - covers all communities where Coldwell Banker Advantage has a presence.

"This is the next evolution of home search using voice activation, and we are proud to be the first to provide this service to home buyers and sellers in the Triangle Region," said Gary Rabon, president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Advantage. "Alexa and Google Home have redefined how we interact with technology and they are not just for entertainment anymore. The ‘Triangle Real Estate' prompt gives potential homebuyers a quick and convenient tool. You can now ask Alexa or Google Home to find your next home while you are cooking dinner or sitting on your couch. It's an easy-to-use, hands-free experience."

Rabon also pointed out that Coldwell Banker Advantage's nearly 350 agents who work in 13 offices throughout the region will also benefit.

"This is just another reason sellers choose to work with us," said Rabon. "Our sellers will enjoy the exposure their home can receive on our new Alexa and Google Home channels. We also now make it even easier – and more fun – to learn the value of your home. In addition, Alexa and Google follow with the option for that potential seller to receive a more detailed valuation of their home by one of our market expert agents."

Along with interacting with "Triangle Real Estate," consumer will be able to substitute the following areas for "Triangle Real Estate":

  • Raleigh Real Estate
  • Durham Real Estate
  • Johnston County Real Estate
  • Cary Real Estate
  • Apex Real Estate
  • Goldsboro Real Estate
  • Kerr Lake Real Estate
  • Lake Gaston Real Estate
  • Wake Forest Real Estate

Coldwell Banker Advantage partnered with Voiceter Pro to bring this cutting-edge technology to Triangle residents and those seeking to move here.

"Coldwell Banker Advantage is the thought leader in this market and the leaders are industry visionaries," said Miguel Berger, co-founder of Voiceter Pro and a veteran real estate broker. "They understand the future of this business and are providing the right tools at the right time for both consumers and the real estate professionals affiliated with Coldwell Banker Advantage."

The Home Search Process

Following the initial prompt to Triangle Real Estate, users can conduct a home search based on a few parameters like the number of bedrooms or bathrooms, or search based on several detailed home features and price range. Amazon or Google Home will describe the first three matches and then send an email with a link to all the homes matching the search criteria.

Home Value Process

Once engaged with Triangle Real Estate, the user provides the address of their property to learn its value. They are then asked if they would like to speak with a Coldwell Banker Advantage agent to get a more in-depth market report.
