Century 21 Real Estate Takes Over YouTube Homepage

MADISON, N.J., March 27, 2014 -- Century 21 Real Estate LLC, the franchisor of the world's largest residential real estate franchise sales organization, announced today that it has taken over the YouTube homepage on the day that Google identified as having the most online real estate searches last year. The YouTube takeover by CENTURY 21® is a first by any real estate brand. The more than 27 million visitors expected to visit the homepage will have the opportunity to engage with the C21® "Puppy Cam," a series of eight videos showcasing various little dogs playing, running, sleeping and, overall, just being downright lovable.

"Today's YouTube takeover allows us to put our C21® affiliated sales professionals in front of approximately 27 million consumers and drive them to CENTURY21.com on the day that we traditionally 'kick-off' the spring home buying and selling season," said Bev Thorne, Chief Marketing Officer Century 21 Real Estate LLC. "The Puppy Cam ties back to our 2014 series of 'Based on a True Feeling' ads, in which one spot features clients who liken the experience of working with our agents to being surrounded by puppies."

Century 21 Real Estate LLC is displaying creative that runs the full width of the YouTube homepage. The company will also be posting stills, GIFS and videos of puppies to r/Aww, a subpage on Reddit, encouraging users to visit the Puppy Cam on the YouTube homepage. Throughout the day, the YouTube takeover will be promoted on CENTURY 21 social media channels and by its System members.

The YouTube takeover comes on the heels of an earlier announcement that CENTURY21.com was the No. 1 "most visited" real estate franchise website in every month of 2013, according to comScore, Inc. Century21.com held a commanding lead in the number of unique website visitors in 2013, with 25.3 million for the entire year, which was approximately 10 million unique visitors higher than the next closest national real estate franchise brand. The Web site, to date according to comScore, has held its unique website visitors leadership positioning in 2014.
