Obeo Releases Major Upgrades to its Single Property Website

A new version of Obeo's Single Property Website, boosting faster load speeds and enhanced mobile performance was quietly released last week!

We are super excited about the deployment of our latest upgrades to our Single Property Website. The two biggest enhancements in this new release are load speed and mobile functionality. According to Bob Davis, Obeo's Chief Technology Officer, "With this latest deployment of new features, we've increased the load speed of our single property website by up to five times!" That's because we've reduced the viewer size from 3,845 KBs to 594 KBs. That's a huge difference in size, and ultimately provides your real estate consumer with a superior experience. Load speed can be especially critical for mobile consumers. The latest statistics from the National Association of Realtors®, show that 89% of consumers are using mobile devices during their home search. These consumers don't have patience when it comes to load speed, and studies prove they will quickly move on to another site or listing, if load speed is too long. In fact, 40% will abandon a web page if it takes more than three seconds to load!

Responsive websites behave like a fluid, and will flow to fit the size of the screen they are being viewed on. Simply put, a responsive website will be full featured and look awesome whether it's being viewed on a phone, tablet, or desktop. And that is exactly what we accomplished for our Single Property Website.

According to Mike Haugen, President of Obeo, "The future is mobile. Real Estate professionals without a mobile-friendly property websites will have a poor results.
