Onboard Informatics Announces the Next Generation of Listings API Platform

A while back, we shared some updates regarding our Listings Search Engine 1.2 API. Today, I am excited to announce the next generation of our Listings API platform is now live.

We've offered the Listings Search Engine API since 2008, but what makes this update significant is that it makes our Next Gen Platform the first API to integrate listings data with advanced search capabilities and value-added content.

To break it down, the Next Gen of Onboard Informatics' API Listings Platform offers impressively advanced search, filter and sort capabilities. It enables users to search using hundreds of different filters including standard listing fields and advanced lifestyle content. Results may then be sorted using 25 different fields including distance from a desired starting point, nearby transit, local school ratings, neighborhood names, and more. This enables visitors to find a home within a desired commute time, within a proximity to a bus station or other transit, or even based on school attendance zones. The Next Gen relates all of this information together with the more traditional details like the number of beds, baths, and the price so users can better understand a piece of property in the context of its surrounding area.

Aside from unprecedented search capabilities, The Next Gen Platform of our API Listings Platform is one of the only APIs that provides real-time access to such a wide breadth of listings. With its entirely new back end, this API automatically updates listings multiple times a day using RETS with over 100 MLSs, offering the most recent listings as well as the most recent listing changes.

Another value added benefit of the Next Gen API Listings platform is the enhanced image capabilities. It's now possible to pull original, high-resolution photos for any property at full scale with no changes or modifications.
