Having real clients speak openly and honestly about your skill and expertise lends itself to today's social trend in peer to peer recommendations. Video reaches out on an emotional level allowing potential home buyers to identify with the person giving the testimonial. If you are interested in using client testimonials are part of your digital marketing strategy, here are some tips to follow.

1. Always feature real clients.

2. Ensure viewers understand that the testimonial is from a real client. You can ask them to introduce themselves or add a small caption either of their name or initials, and city and state.

3. Time should be no longer than 60 seconds. Viewers have a short attention span and the goal is to make sure they see and hear the main points of the testimonial.

4. Choose a location that is comfortable for your clients. Inside their home or in the backyard as long as the location has the least noise interference (cars, air conditioner, etc.).

5. Shoot the footage at a slight angle so the subject is facing you and not looking directly at the camera. A tripod would make this task fairly straightforward.
