Five Ingredients for Creating Viral Videos

September 02 2014

goneviral realbizWe have all heard the term "gone viral." Normally we equate it with amateur videos of funny cats or parodies of pop songs such as Gangnam Style by PSY, which by the way has been viewed over 2 billion times. In the case of real estate...

A viral video is one that creatively promotes a property, real estate company and/or Realtor by using content that draws attention and encourages viewers to want to share it with others.

So what are some of the characteristics of a viral video that will gain maximum reach?

1. Funny. Arguably the most common aspect of a viral video is humor. If you make people laugh with your video, it's far more likely it will get shared socially. Just remember to create content that's not only funny to you, but entertaining for your customers as well.

2. Creative. Adding the right spice of creativity and doing something that is unique and never tried before can bring your video views and awareness. Creativity is respected in just about every social circle and can do a fantastic job at getting viewers more interested in you and your brand.

3. Relevant. One aspect that is specifically crucial is crafting a relevant message to your target market. No matter what type of content you use for your video, make sure the message you are trying to get across will be receptive to your audience and one that is worth sharing.
